Motion Capture (Mocap)
Recording a real performer's movement as data to drive a digital character.
Motion capture records the position and rotation of a performer's body over time, producing animation data that can be applied to a digital character. Traditional systems use optical cameras with reflective markers or inertial suits. The captured data is retargeted onto a rigged character.
