Synthetic Media Disclosure

Telling audiences that content or a conversational agent is AI-generated.

Synthetic media disclosure covers visible labels, spoken notices and machine-readable markings that identify content as artificially generated. It also covers informing users that they are interacting with a system rather than a person. Disclosure requirements increasingly appear in regulation as well as in platform policy.
