Viseme
The visual mouth shape that corresponds to a speech sound.
A viseme is the visual counterpart of a phoneme: the shape the mouth makes when producing a given sound. Several phonemes can map to one viseme, because sounds that differ audibly may look identical. Animation systems drive lip sync by sequencing visemes in time with speech.
