ElevenLabs valuation doubles to $22B in employee share sale

A $300M secondary transaction co-led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price valued the voice AI company at $22B, double the $11B it was worth in February 2026. The deal let employees sell shares rather than raising new capital.

TechCrunch reported on 30 September 2026 that ElevenLabs has been valued at $22 billion in a $300 million employee tender offer co-led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price. The transaction is a secondary sale that gave employees an opportunity to sell their shares to investors rather than a primary fundraise.

The figure is double the $11 billion valuation ElevenLabs reached in February 2026 alongside a $500 million round. The report does not disclose revenue or ARR figures.

Why it matters for digital humans: Almost every conversational avatar in production rents its voice, and ElevenLabs is the most common landlord. A valuation that doubles in eight months on a secondary — with no new capital and no disclosed revenue — tells you more about investor appetite for the voice layer than about the company's fundamentals, but it is still the number that will anchor pricing conversations across the stack. For anyone building on top of it, concentration is the practical risk worth tracking: the more the voice layer consolidates into one richly valued supplier, the more exposed a digital human product is to that supplier's pricing, terms and model deprecation schedule.
