An AI avatar of Telangana IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu was unveiled at DevFest 2026 in Hyderabad on Saturday, 24 October, an event organised by Google Developer Group (GDG) Hyderabad. Deccan Chronicle reports it was built by TensorGo using its HumAIn platform, under the guidance of Sai Krishna, the minister's IT adviser, and made its first live appearance on stage. The article presents it as a way for citizens to interact with public leadership through AI. Deccan Chronicle and Channeliam both describe it as Telangana's "AI Minister"; neither cites an official designation for that label.

Channeliam, which describes the avatar as a "pre-Artificial General Intelligence (pre-AGI) digital twin" of the minister, reports that it answered questions in English and Telugu about Telangana's vision, priorities and technology-led growth. It says a next phase would let citizens interact with the avatar, share feedback and submit grievances; the article gives no timeline. Deccan Chronicle quotes Sridhar Babu: "The next big breakthrough in AI could come from a student, a start-up or a young developer."
