HeyGen announced HeyGen Voice in a press release dated Los Angeles, Oct. 9, 2026, describing it as the company's new in-house voice model, free within the HeyGen platform and API. According to the release, the model keeps the tone, pacing and expression of a person's voice, and Avatar V is the core model, with voice as a new format within the same stack.

The paid tier is HeyGen Professional Voice Clone, a $99/month add-on that the release says is trained on 30 minutes to three hours of the owner's speech. HeyGen states that it requires the voice owner's explicit consent, with safeguards in its avatar products intended to keep users in control of how their voice and likeness are represented.

The release says HeyGen Voice debuts at #1 on Artificial Analysis' Leaderboard. That is HeyGen's own claim; the release does not name the specific metric, evaluation date or competing models. HeyGen CTO Rong Yan is quoted: "We built HeyGen Voice to deliver the best possible AI voice that technology can deliver." HeyGen says Voice will continue to roll out additional capabilities and updates. For full details, read the original press release on PR Newswire.
